After a 10-year battle against cancer, Judith Ann Iverson passed away the afternoon of December 23, 2015. Born to Bill and Lucile Iverson at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane on May 3, 1947, she thrived with her brothers David, Larry and Norman and sister Sandy on their farm south of Lamona, in Lincoln County.
She attended Odessa schools, graduating in 1965. Graduated in 1967 from Concordia College in Portland, Ore., she continued her education at Concordia Teacher's College in Seward, Neb. and completed her Bachelor's Degree at Eastern Washington College in 1970. She worked at the Spokane Public Library and various other jobs before moving back to the farm in the late 1970s. She also worked as a legal secretary for Howard Phillips and other attorneys in Odessa.
Judy started working at the Odessa Hospital in 1985 until she had to retire due to her health in 2005. She was involved with the Odessa Community Ministerial Association, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Odessa Kinder Care, Zion Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Thrivent Financial.
Judy requested a family only service at her grave site with an open to all memorial service following. Her memorial service date will be set by family in the Spring of 2016.
