Nancy Elizabeth Liner
07/13/1945 – 12/18/2015
On December 18, 2015, surrounded by family, Nancy went to be with our Lord and Savior.
Nancy was born in Spokane on Friday the 13th of July, 1945 to Herb and Millie (LeBret) Lyons. On December 18, 51years ago, Nancy met Gerald Liner at the Church of the Nazarene in Zillah, Wash. On their third date, New Year's Eve 1964, Gerald asked Nancy to be his wife. They were married in Deer Park on May 14, 1965. During their 50 years together, Gerald and Nancy lived in many parts of eastern Washington and traveled most of the east coast. They settled in the Puget Sound area in 2014. They cherished their three children and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy battled issues with her lungs for 12 years, surprising her doctors and specialists with her vigor for life and her faith in God. She even 'graduated' from hospice in 2013. She was a fighter and would make friends with anyone she met. You couldn't help loving her and wanting to be near her longer. Nancy made the tough decision to end her suffering just two days before she went home to be with Jesus.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Liner of Arlington, Wash .; their children, David Weatherby (Cyndy) of Antioch, Calif., Frances Liner of Marysville, Wash. and Margaret Alysworth (Peter) of Franklin, Tenn .; her brother Joe Lyons (Shirley) of Spokane and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends. Nancy was a proud member of the Spokane Indian Tribe and of Heritage Church in Odessa.
A celebration of her life will be held in July 2016 in Zillah, exact date and location to be determined.
