Patricia (Patsy) Sue Hoefel

November 28, 1950 - May 26, 2016

Patsy Hoefel was born in Odessa on November 28, 1950 to Harold and Emogene Hoefel. She passed away in Seattle on May 26, 2016.

Patsy is survived by her sister Karen and good friends Patrick and Margie Leach and numerous cousins and friends. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Emogene.

Patsy grew up in Odessa, attended school there and graduated at Odessa High School in 1969. At that time she pursued her passion for teaching and schooled at Whitworth University, graduating in 1973. After graduation she began her teaching career in Goldendale. After three years, she moved to Kirkland and eventually was employed by the Riverview School District in Carnation, where she taught 25 years prior to her retirement. Her entire teaching career was at the elementary school level, teaching primarily first and third grades. Patsy lived in Redmond for 33 years.

Patsy had many interests, among them she thoroughly enjoyed serving people and cooking for all. Patsy was passionate about her relationship with Jesus Christ and was a member of Valley Four Square Church in Duvall.

Funeral and interment services will be held at the Odessa Cemetery Chapel in Odessa on Tuesday, June 7, at 1 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Bible Church located at 15815 SE 37th St. in Bellevue on Saturday, June 18, at 2 p.m.
