Graduates enjoy final ceremony

Odessa High School's 13 graduating seniors celebrated the beginning of their new futures June 4 in the school gymnasium (see page 4 for pictures and student speeches). Some will further their education and some will go straight into the workforce.

AnnaRenée Bockman will attend Studio Beauty School. Directly entering the workforce will be Hunter Bramer, Johnathon Brightwell, Garrett Gross and Caleb McNeil.Heading to Spokane Falls Community College are Casey Schlomer and Paige Smith, while Max Greenwalt and Caleb Singer will attend Spokane Community College. Parker Valverde plans on attending Big Bend Community College. Katie DeWulf, Alexis Schmierer and Stacia Lesser will attend Washington State University.

Lesser has been awarded a full-ride scholarship based on her academic accomplishments.

The musical group Staff Infection, consisting of social studies teacher Larry Moffet and science teacher Jeff Wehr, wrote and performed the song "Take It Home" with OHS junior Tyler Rollins on drums.

Following the ceremony, the graduates dispersed to the many parties at their homes or other venues that afternoon. The day was warm and sunny, perfect for celebrating the end of a school career for these young adults.
