New feature at D-fest

A new feature of the Odessa Deutschesfest has been announced. Saturday, September 17, at 4 p.m., the First Annual Tim Hauge Memorial Talent Show will be held on the outdoor stage. Judges have been booked. Talent is what is needed now. Can you sing? Dance? Tell a good joke? Draw amazing pictures? Or anything else you think people need to see? Sign up for the talent show and help us make Fest even more amazing. Email your name, age (all ages welcome) and talent to talentshow@odessachamber.org and your name will be added to the list.

As Odessa residents well know, Pastor Tim Hauge was the organizer for the acts on the outdoor stage for the past several years. Empty slots were often filled by him with his guitar, singing his beloved gospel songs, as well as pop and folk tunes. It may not be quite so well known that he was also a composer of his own gospel music, making his own CDs on his own recording equipment.
