Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
The holiday lighting contest in Odessa was sponsored once again this year by the local Lions Club. Last Friday, club members viewed the houses throughout town whose residents had taken the time and effort to put up displays of colorful lights and figures prior to the holiday.
The club awarded only two prizes this year, with first place going to Tammy Carlson Tokas on east Fourth Avenue and second place going to Pete and Lisa Martin who live on Eighth Avenue.
Tokas wins $75 from the Lions Club for her efforts. She recently bought the home on Fourth Avenue and has been busy decorating her house and yard for each holiday that has taken place since she moved in.
The Martins won $25 for second place at their home on the south hill.
