Recent house fire update

Our story last week on the fire that destroyed the home of John Hilty was incorrect on a couple of minor points. Hilty had started out for Moses Lake that morning, but the roads were bad, and he said he just had a feeling he ought to go home. And he did. He settled down in his living room to decide what to do for the day when he heard a loud pop somewhere in the house. In a matter of minutes, flames were forcing him to scramble for a few photo albums and get out of the house.

The fire burned very hot and very fast and gutted most of the structure within a very short time. Hilty lost nearly all of his clothing and other possessions. He is currently living in Soap Lake with his son TJ Hilty, while thinking about and deciding upon his future plans.
