Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
A STEMposium and Family Science Fun Night will be held Tuesday, February 21, in the school multi-purpose room from 6 to 8 p.m. Free hot dogs, chips and beverages will be offered to those attending.
Under the direction of high school science teacher Jeff Wehr and junior-high science teacher Julie Wehr, science students in grades 6-12 will create the displays and events. There will be engineering demonstrations, activities and research presentations hosted by the students. Community members of all ages are invited to participate in making slime, lava lamps, engineering balloon race cars and watching demonstrations involving physics, chemistry, biology and computer science.
Last year’s event was well-attended, and the students and their mentors, the Wehrs, are hoping to have equally good attendance again this year.
