Marlin
The Marlin Gun Club finished the season last Sunday, March 5, with awards, fun games and a meal of prime rib and cheesy potatoes. Members also contributed potluck dishes to the meal.
Winners were announced for each of the seven classes of shooters. Classes reflect the accuracy level of the shooters based on the percentage of targets hit over time.

Shooters who achieved their first ever perfect 25 targets this season were Jakob Starkel, Mike French, Taeven Brashear and Brent Finkbeiner.
In other contests, the doubles champion was Mark Edwins, handicap champion was Jon Jensen and Miss-N-Out champion was Mark Brashear.
Odessa
The Odessa Gun Club also scheduled a day of fun and partook of a potluck lunch on Sunday. Awards were handed out for the different classes in Odessa as well.

The Tony Williams Award went to TJ Main. The Art Grening Handicap award was won by Brady Gies, who also won the Doc Bonney High Overall award.
Individual contest winners
TJ Main of Odessa was the top overall shooter in the Spokesman-Review shoot’s AA class, getting 197 targets out of 200, while Mark Iksic of Marlin was in eight place with 189.
In the A class, Dave Asker of Marlin shot 187 for eighth place, and Ryan Lewis of Odessa came in 21st.
In the B class, Mike French of Marlin was seventh with a score of 187, and Lane Lobe of Odessa was tied for 12th with 174.
Top C class shooters were Deanna Lobe of Odessa in seventh place with 165 and Brent Finkbeiner of Marlin was ninth with 160.
In class D, Rob Imbert of Marlin shot 155 for seventh place.
In the Ladies class, Carmen Eckhart of Marlin was the second-highest shooter with 181. Tina Wentworth of Odessa was seventh with 168.
Among the Sub-Juniors, Taeven Brashear of Marlin was fourth with 167 and Pilot Weishaar of Odessa was ninth with 123.
In the Veterans class, Jan Jansen of Marlin came in second with 189 and Stan Dammel of Odessa was 13th with 142.
