In the 1B boys portion of the Hardwood Classic played last week at the Spokane Arena, Sunnyside Christian won the championship game over Lummi Nation. ACH took third place, Yakama Nation Tribal was fourth, Pomeroy fifth and Muckleshoot Tribal sixth.
The girls 1B teams saw Republic take the top spot, defeating the ACH girls in the final game. Third place went to Colton, fourth to Oaksdale, fifth to Sunnyside Christian and sixth to Tacoma Baptist.
Among 2B schools, the Kittitas boys defeated Liberty (Spangle) in the championship game. Life Christian Academy was third, Northwest Christian (Colbert) fourth, St. Georges fifth and Napavine sixth.
The Davenport girls took the state 2B championship, beating Kalama in the final game. Third place went to Wahkiakum, fourth to Dayton, fifth to Ilwaco and sixth to St. George’s.
