Thinclads set personal, season records on Friday

Columbia (Hunters)

On March 28, the O-H Titans played Columbia (Hunters), defeating that team in both games of a double header. The battery consisted of Chance Messer pitching to catcher Marcus King. Messer was credited with the win in game 1, facing 22 batters and striking out 11 of them. The Titans won, 13-1.

Theron Schlomer led the Titan offense by pounding out two doubles in the game. Messer and Jayd Jennings also each had a double, and Messer also had hits in all three of his at-bats.

In game 2, Schlomer pitched to Joshua Clark, throwing four no-hit innings and giving O-H a 24-0 win.

Schlomer also hit in three of his four at-bats. Messer and Jennings also added three hits each to the Titan offense.

Liberty Christian

On March 31, the Titans recorded two wins against Liberty Christian. The first game was a 6-0 shutout.

Messer was once again the winning pitcher. He was relieved by Camden Weber in the fifth inning. King was at catcher.

At the plate, Messer and Colton Hunt each got a double to pace the offense.

Game 2 was a much closer game, but the Titans prevailed, 6-5.

Schlomer allowed three runs over four inning before being relieved in the fifth by Hunt. Clark was at catcher. Schlomer got the win and Hunt was credited with a save.

Clark and Weber each had a double, while Hunt and King each had two hits.
