Basketball players attend camp

The annual BNB High School Basketball Camp for boys held in Soap Lake June 19 through 22 drew teams from throughout the state. Odessa High School sent nine members of the 2017-18 basketball team to the camp.

The boys played against 10 different schools, winning nine games and losing one by only three points.

The boys were coached at camp by Larry Moffet, who indicated that it was a wonderful time for all involved and that Odessa had a regular season, plus future seasons, to look forward to.

BNB basketball camps are offered for all high school level basketball teams, boys and girls, varsity, junior varsity and C squad. The camps are advertised as being put on “by coaches for coaches.” The letters BNB stand for the founding members of the organization, Berryman, Nielsen and Blankenship.

Erik Nielsen is the camp director, leading a team consisting of Doug Berryman, Kieth Finkbeiner and Brett Mackey (Blankenship is apparently no longer involved or at least is not listed anywhere on the organization’s website).
