Darlene Edens died August 14, 2017, at Lincoln Hospital in Davenport at the age of 77. Her home was in Odessa.

She was born in Seattle October 6, 1939, to George and Peggy (Holms) Sanislo. She graduated from Issaquah High School in 1958 and received a B.S. degree from Central Washington University in 1991 as an executive secretary. She worked as a clerk for the Upper Kittitas District Court and for the hospital district in CleElum prior to managing the Woodgate Apartment complex in Marysville together with her husband David Edens.
