Last week’s football report requires an explanation. The initial informaiton on the Touchet game listed on the MaxPreps website had Colton Hunt as the quarterback, completing a good percentage of his passes. We did notice further down the list of stats that Hunt had also received some passes, which we thought was odd to say the least. But, as is often the case here at The Record, we ran out of time to pursue the issue prior to our print deadline.

At Thursday night’s game (Sept. 28) against Wellpinit (moved up from Friday due to a lack of officials on that date), we were able to clarify our questions with head coach Jeff Nelson.

The initial information released did indeed list Hunt as the quarterback, but only because Nelson in his haste copied the wrong line into the website. The MaxPreps website was soon corrected by Nelson but not before The Record got its (mis)information from it.

The two quarterbacks this year are Camden Weber and Jett Nelson. Colton Hunt is a running back this year.
