Tiger teams get wins
The Tiger football team was scheduled to play Wellpinit Friday, September 29, but not enough officials could be found to handle the Friday night game. The three gentlemen officiating Thursday’s junior-high football game were willing to add on the high school game after the junior-high game.
Quarterback Camden Weber completed all three of his attempted passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Marcus King caught one TD pass for 42 yards, and Colton Hunt caught two passes for a total of 61 yards and one TD.
Brady Walter had 71 yards rushing on six carries, Jett Nelson 32 yards on seven carries (two for TDs), Patrick Valverde 34 yards on five carries (one TD), King 64 yards on two carries (one TD), Gaven Elder 53 yards on two carries (one TD), C. Hunt 39 yards on two carries (two TDs) and Weber 30 yards on two carries (one TD).

On defense, Theron Schlomer and Pilot Weishaar each had four solo tackles to lead the team, and Jakob Starkel had three. Valverde, Walter and King each had one pass interception, and King’s was returned for a TD.
The Odessa volleyball team spent the day traveling to play and win games against both the Curlew Cougars and the Republic Tigers September 30.
First up at noon was Curlew, with the Tigers defeating them in three straight matches, two of them by very close scores.

Maleah Davison had an outstanding total of eight aces, eight kills and a block. Brenna Carstensen had 20 assists and Caitlyn Schuh had 12 digs.
After the win against Curlew, the ladies traveled to Republic for a 4 p.m. match, taking three out of four games for a final score of 3-1 Tigers.

Maddy Wagner had six aces and 13 kills, and Carstensen had 27 assists. Davison had four blocks and Schuh 13 digs.
Who do the Tigers take on next? They play the Northport Mustangs, in Northport at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, then on Saturday, October 14 at noon, the Inchelium Hornets.
