The Tigers traveled to Chewelah last Saturday, where they were defeated 76-62 in a non-league game. The Tigers trailed throughout the game but fought hard, as did their opponents. The many fouls called led to 48 free throws being awarded. Chewelah made 14 of 18 of its free throws and Odessa made 24 of 30.

Odessa’s Camden Weber scored a game-high 26 points. Ryan Moffet added 17, as this normally sharp-shooting player was subjected to pressure that resulted in his making one field goal and one three-pointer out of 30 attempts during the game. The rest of his point total came from making 12 of 13 free throws. Weber had a much better shooting percentage, making just under 50 percent of his attempted shots and adding 11 of 13 attempted free throws. He was also able to steal the ball six times.
Tim DeWulf led the Tigers in rebounding with eight, and Marcus King added six.
