Letter to the Editor: Writer excoriates rep in Congress for vote record

To the Editor:

I found a card the other day that said, “I Think of You Often.” I decided Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers needed to know that I think of her often, so I sent her a note:

“I think of you often. I think of how you do not listen to us, do not care for us, do not talk to us, but continually pass laws that harm us. I think of you often. I think of 12 years in Congress and you have done nothing to stop the mass murder of children and adults in our land, but you completely support the NRA and everyone’s right to own a gun of their choosing, even if they are mentally ill. I think of you often, when you will vote against a Republican bill that would harm your son, but vote for bills that harm our children. I think of you often as I work tirelessly to reveal that you are not just a horrible representative, but a person who shows a complete lack of moral character. I think of you often, as I give money and support to Lisa Brown. I think of you often, as my mornings start with letters, calls, tweets about your reprehensible actions. I think of you often as I willingly work to stop you from being re-elected on November 6. I think of you often.”
