Nate Lathrop, owner of Rolling Thunder Pizza, had planned to honor his grandfather Gene Klineburger with a birthday celebration on Saturday at the pizza shop. Klineburger’s health will not permit him to be there, however, so the event has been canceled. Klineburger turns 99 on April 27.
Another birthday that will be celebrated this weekend is that of Wilma Schmidt of Odessa. Her family will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday for friends and family members to come by and wish her a happy birthday. She turns 90 on April 30.
There will be lots of activity all around town this weekend. Everyone is encouraged to drive cautiously and watch out for pedestrians.
