Food bank stores low

It is that time of year when stocks on the shelves at the Odessa Food Bank are getting low. The following is a list of most needed food items. Food donations may be dropped off at any of the local churches or by contacting Merleen Smith at 982-2202. The Odessa Food Bank is open the Thursday following the third Tuesday of each month. August 23 is the next open day, from 1:30 to 3 and from 5 to 6 p.m. Location is the Odessa Foursquare Church, 111 E. 1st Ave., alley entrance.

Items needed are: spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned chicken, tuna, pork-n-beans, soup, macaroni and cheese, boxed cereals, peanut butter, boxed meals, Rice-a-Roni, Hamburger Helper, Noodle-Roni. We will also accept meat if you are cleaning out your freezer and have some to spare.
