Letter to the Editor: Cathy McMorris Rodgers advocates for disabled

To the Editor:

Cathy McMorris Rodgers has been a strong advocate for people with disabilities. She is one of the leaders in Congress, and the whole federal government, on bringing awareness to Down Syndrome. She brought to Congress’ attention the fact that less than one-hundredth of one percent is devoted to Down Syndrome research, and the fact that nearly every person with Down Syndrome develops Alzheimer’s or dementia.
