To the Editor:
I support Sylvia Hammond for the District 13 state house in Olympia. As a farmer and teacher, she understands agriculture, water rights and the importance of quality education.
Hammond listens to the concerns of those living in the 13th District. At a recent “Meet and Greet,” she made time to visit with everyone who had concerns and encouraged constituents to contact her with other ideas/concerns. She travels throughout the district to hear from those she will represent.
When legislation about minimum wage was being considered in Olympia, I called Matt Manweller to express my opinion. He treated me in a condescending manner, indicated he was smarter than me and would not listen to my input in spite of my protest that I was his constituent.
Manweller criticizes the comprehensive report (which I encourage all constituents to read) about his pattern of inappropriate behavior and now wastes more taxpayer money with a lawsuit against CWU. He already benefitted from paid leave while he was investigated for sexual misconduct.
Vote for Sylvia Hammond, a candidate who has experience, intelligence and integrity - and who listens.
