OHS Tigers pounce on Cusick with an 80-0 win

The Tigers showed their stripes once again last Friday night, pouncing on Cusick by a score of 80-0. The Tigers are now 2-0 for the season.

It was an amazing team effort on the field. Drew Hardung, Marcus King and Jakob Starkel each scored 12 points, while right behind them were Jett Nelson, Brady Walter and Tim DeWulf scoring six points each.

Defensively, Keith Strebeck, Nelson, Lane Lobe, Walter, King, Daeton Deife, Starkel, Josh Clark, Ryan Melgren, Pilot Weishaar, Jordyn Cooper, DeWulf and Bradly Singer combined for a total of 38 tackles. Weishaar also brought down an interception.

The Tigers’ next game will be the Sausage Bowl, this Friday, September 14, against Waterville/Mansfield during Odessa’s Deutschesfest. So let’s all head down to Finney Field and show our Tiger pride at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Did you know that a group of tigers is called a “streak” (as in a “pride of lions,” a “herd of buffalo,” etc.)? Well, this streak of OHS Tigers is on a mission to have an outstanding season.
