Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
Odessa Food Bank director Merleen Smith was very happy with the help she received in collecting, organizing and distributing donated food over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Students in the Odessa chapter of the National Honor Society, under the direction of their advisor Lindsy Starkel, generously volunteered their time in preparing and delivering the Odessa Food Bank’s baskets for the two holidays. The food bank is sponsored by the Odessa Community Ministerial Association.
These students came ready to work and serve: Maddy Wagner, Maddie Scrupps, Tori Weishaar, Caitlyn Schuh, Kassidy Crossley, Ireland Luiten, Eric Johnston, Marcus King, Pilot Weishaar, Camden Weber, Ryan Moffet, Jaden Hunt and Jakob Starkel.
Operation of the Odessa Food Bank year round is made possible by the outpouring of generosity of Odessa community members and even those outside our community, in the way of donations of either food or monetary gifts. Many hands, from young and old, make the operation of the food bank possible throughout the year.
