On Tuesday, January 15, the OHS Tiger boys took on the Oakesdale Nighthawks. The Nighthawks tried to fly away with the win, but were unsuccessful. The boys grounded the Nighthawks, 56 to 46.
“The Machine” was high scorer in the game with a total of 36 points for Ryan Moffet. Next up was Tim DeWulf with a total of 10 points, Camden Weber with 7 and Marcus King with 3.
The Tigers had a total of 31 rebounds, 12 assists and 13 steals on the game. So with only 11 turnovers, the Nighthawks didn’t have a chance to take the undefeated title from the Tigers.
The next Tiger game was on Friday, January 18, against the ACH Warriors. After a long hard battle, the Warriors dominated the Tigers by winning 65 to 62.
All of the boys were on their game for this match-up. Moffet had a total of 29 points, Marcus King was number 2 on the scoreboard for the Tigers with a total of 18, while Jaden Hunt had 6, Camden Weber 4, Jett Nelson 3 and Tim DeWulf 2.
The Tigers had a total of 26 rebounds in the game, 14 assists and 7 steals. The battle was intense with only 10 turnovers for the Tigers, but the Warriors barely pulled off the win over the Tigers, giving them their first loss of the season.
On January 19, the OHS Tigers took on the Republic Tigers. The OHS Tigers proved to be the stronger cat by whupping the Republic Tigers, 75 to 24.
Looks like the entire team made it to the score board this game. “The Machine” Moffet was tops in scoring for the OHS Tigers with a total of 29 points. Camden Weber had 8, Marcus King 7, Jett Nelson 6, Jaden Hunt and Daeton Deife 5 each, Tim DeWulf and Eric Johnston 4 each and Lane Lobe and Pilot Weishaar 2 each.
The Tigers had 30 total rebounds this game. There were 18 assists and 21 steals. The OHS Tigers fought hard and showed Republic how it is done.
The January 22 game against Columbia (Hunters) will be reported on next week. This weekend, the Tigers face Selkirk on Friday, January 25, in Odessa at 7:30 p.m. and then Valley Christian in Odessa on Saturday, January 26 at 6 p.m. So get your pom-poms ready and prepare for a weekend of supporting your Tiger team.
