OHS baseball team has winning season so far

Medical Lake

The Tigers played a non-league away game against the Medical Lake Cardinals on Tuesday, April 2. The Tigers chalked up another win, 4-2. Odessa trailed by two through the third inning, then scored a run in each of the next four innings to get the win.

Camden Weber had two hits in his four plate appearances, while Jett Nelson, Marcus King and Bradly Singer each had one hit. Singer’s hit was a two-bagger.

Theron Schlomer pitched 4.2 innings, facing 21 batters, while allowing five hits and two earned runs. He struck out six and walked four. Jett Nelson pitched 2.1 innings in relief, facing eight batters, allowing one hit, no runs and striking out three.

Lakeland

Also on April 2, the Tigers played the team from Lakeland High School of Rathdrum, Idaho. The Tigers won again, 7-0.

Eric Johnston had two hits in this game and had two RBIs. Weber had one hit and two RBIs. Johnston and Weber each hit a double. Also adding one hit each were King and Nelson.

Tim DeWulf pitched almost a complete game, 6.2 innings, with Nelson coming on in relief to strike out the final batter. DeWulf faced 27 batters, throwing 107 pitches, striking out 13 batters and walking three.
