Tigers take both ends of Selkirk double-header

On Saturday, April 27, the Tigers won both home conference games against Selkirk. Odessa won the first game by a score of 13-2.

Camden Weber had a great day at bat, three hits in his four plate appearances, including a double and a triple. He was credited with 2 runs and 3 RBIs. Theron Schlomer also had success at the plate. He pounded out a home run, driving in two runs and picking up 3 RBIs. Marcus King had two hits, including a double, for two runs and an RBI. Jett Nelson had one hit, for two runs. Bradly Singer had one hit and one RBI.

Schlomer pitched four innings, facing 17 batters, giving up two earned runs on three hits, striking out 7 and walking 2. Nelson pitched the final inning in relief, facing 5 batters, giving up one hit and striking out two.

Game two of the double header also saw the Tigers win by a substantial margin, 15-5.

Weber continued to have a hot bat, getting 3 hits, including a double, for one run and 3 RBIs. Johnston added 2 hits, including a triple, for 2 runs and 3 RBIs. Nelson had 2 hits for one run and one RBI. Schlomer hit a two-bagger to bring in three runs and an RBI. Tim DeWulf got one hit for one run and 2 RBIs.

DeWulf pitched four innings, facing 19 batters, walking one and striking out 8. He gave up 3 hits for 3 runs, none of them earned. Nelson pitched the final inning. He faced 6 batters, allowed 2 earned runs on 2 hits, struck out two and gave up no walks.
