As a follow-up to last week's report on Spring Fling, the following information was provided regarding the car/bike/truck show.
In the cars section, first place went to the 1955 Chevy Bel Air of Jerry and LeDonna Stacy of Spokane.
Second place went to the 1969 Olds Toronado of William Hickey of Walla Walla.
Third place went to the 1972 Mercury Comet lovingly restored by high-schooler Keith Strebeck of Odessa.
In the trucks classification, first place went to the 1929 IHC 1/2-ton pickup owned by Patrick Gies of Odessa.
Second place went to the 1956 International S-180 COE of Jay Richardson of Walla Walla.
Third place was won by Mike Treadwell of Othello for his Ford Model B pickup.
The top three motorbikes entered were John Hardt's 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail of Odessa in first place.
Clark Kagele's 2017 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, Odessa, in second place.
Richard Molsbee's 2003 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic, Odessa, in third place.
The winner of the banner announcing the event sponsors (The Odessa Record, Odessa Foods, Carpenter McGuire & DeWulf PS, Rolling Thunder Pizza, Odessa Drug, Iverson Law PLLC, Odessa Dental Clinic, Odessa Lions Club, Seed-Rite Inc.) was Patrick Gies of Odessa. The winner of the "Rat Bike" was Lee Jasman, who donated it back. It was ultimately won also by Pat Gies.
Despite the heavy winds and cold, the Odessa Car and Bike Show happened. Next year's Spring Fling is April 24-25, 2020, come rain, snow or shine.
The Old Town Hall Rejuvenation Society's rummage sale brought in $3,767.81.
