The state track meet for 1B, 2B and 1A schools took place last Friday and Saturday at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. The Odessa track and field teams acquitted themselves well, with the boys 4xl00 relay team ascending to the top of the podium as state champions in that event. Caitlyn Schuh for the Odessa girls nabbed a second-place finish in the discus and set both a personal record and a new school record for that event at 120-11. She also finished 7th in the shot put with a new personal record of 32-02.00.

Harrington T&F athletes did not make into the final rounds in their events this year, but since their athletes are so young, Panther fans can look foward to watching them develop over the next few years.
