On August 16, the Odessa Friends of the Pool (FOP) hosted the 12th Annual Night Flyer Golf Tournament at Odessa Golf & RV. The night was a huge success, raising over $8,000! Funds were raised through sponsor donations, raffle ticket purchases and entry fees. With 16 teams, 64 people participated in the scramble style tournament. Dinner was catered by Odessa Golf & RV and the tournament started at sunset. All proceeds raised will benefit the Odessa community pool. FOP is working with the Town of Odessa to save the pool and help fund some major renovations. Stay tuned!
This year's side games included teeing off while wearing swimming goggles, and teeing off while wearing a flamingo pool float. Other games were longest drive (by men and women), won by Cade Weber and Paige Alloway, respectively. The first-place team was captained by Trevor Smith, with Traig Weishaar's team in second place. The last-place team was captained by Angie Jones.

For those interested in donating to the Odessa Friends of the Pool, personalized pool tiles will be available for purchase during next year's swimming season. Just as in past years, these tiles will be placed in the entrance of the pool with your family or business name. Order forms will be available at Leffel, Otis & Warwick or by contacting any FOP member for more information.
