Season begins for Odessa, Harrington
The Odessa Tiger boys JV started their season December 9 in Harrington, losing to the Panthers by a score of 67-46.

The JV boys this year are 5'9" senior Brian McDonald at post, sophomores 5'10" forward Nathan Carstensen, 5'10" guard Landon Brooks, and 5'8" Nathan Melcher at post, 5'9" freshman guard Gage Starkel, plus five eighth-graders playing up with the high school team, 5'4" guard Tyesn Kuchenbuch, 5'6" guard Chad Strebeck, 5'9" guard Zach Claassen, 5'7" forward Dakota Steward and 5'6" forward Austin Read.
The Harrington JV team consists of 6'4" senior Luke Jacobsen, 6' senior Nik Clarke, 5'11" junior Riley Roller, 5'8" sophomore Andrew Downing, 5'9" freshman Eric Mooney, 5'9" freshman Cody Larmer, 5'9" freshman Myca Cawyer, 5'9" eighth-grader Lane Sewall and 5'8" eighth-grader Brody Hendrickson.
Harrington has only a JV team this year.
This year's varsity squad consists of 5'11" senior post/guard Ryan Moffet, 5'11" senior guard Camden Weber, 5'8" sophomore guard Daeton Deife, 5'10" junior guard Jett Nelson, 5'10" eighth-grade guard Jacob Scrupps, 6'3" senior post Eric Johnston, 6'3" junior center Tim DeWulf, Nathan Carstensen (in a crossover role), 6'0" senior forward Marcus King and 5'10" senior forward Jaden Hunt.
The Wellpinit game was at home in Odessa, and the Tigers were once again dominant under leading scorer Moffet who had 38 points. Deife and King added 12 points each, with several other players also getting on the scoreboard.

King and Johnston led the rebounding with eight rebounds each. Deife and King each had three assists and Moffet, Weber and Deife were each credited with three steals.
On Tuesday, December 17, the Tiger boys traveled to Coulee City to take on the ACH Warriors, winning that contest, 59-27.

Ryan Moffet led the scoring with 27 points. Jett Nelson added 11.
King led the rebounding with a total of seven, and Weber added six. Moffet and Nelson also each had three steals.
