Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

The Odessa Community Ministerial Association says; "Thank-You!"

Series: Pastors Corner | Story 4

On behalf of the OCMA I want to thank the entire community of Odessa for all your generous help, donations, prayers and participation throughout the 2019 year. As many of you well know, we are a collection of the churches in Odessa serving to assist the community in emergency situations. Our foremost areas of assistance are the Food Bank (open the third Thursday of each month) and utility assistance. We also host multiple events like Vacation Bible School, sing-alongs, a summer soft-ball BBQ and a sunrise Easter service. In addition, we assist the town Marshall with emergency housing, transportation and some medical situations.

Although we are happy to serve in those and many other capacities, the pastors are not able to do all of that alone. We are dependent upon and thankful for all of YOU who step up from time to time and give of your time, talents and treasures to assist in all the areas of need.

As I am unable to list everyone who has helped in some capacity this past year, know that you are all appreciated. However, there are some of which I wanted to especially mention in regards to the Food Bank.

Thanks to the Quilt Club, Washington Federal and the Odessa Churches for food drives and monetary donations throughout the year, the Community Church Youth Group who assists with the main Annual Fall Food Drive and the ladies and boys who help sort it all, the Honor Society who fills bags and assists in deliveries for the food bank, Sunday School students who fill bags throughout the school year, the Junior High Ag class for sorting and counting, the drivers who drive to Ritzville to pick up the donated food from Second Harvest for the food bank each month and Kyle Tebow who assists the Food Bank Director throughout the year.

Thank-you. Thank-you. Thank-you. We could not do it without all of you! All Glory to God and we look forward to what God will do in 2020. May God bless the town of Odessa and all the residents who live within. - Pastor Jon Hayashi
