Week 7 of the Spokesman-Review Inland Northwest Trapshoot contest was held February 16. Next week is the final week of competition. After the six-week mark, the Marlin/Odessa Gun Club had maintained its second-place position among Division I teams only six targets behind first-place Yakima Valley Sportsmen.
The women’s Marlin/Odessa team maintained sixth place, and the youth division shooters stayed in second place substantially behind the Spangle team (Spangle 566, O/M 537).
Marlin Gun Club
At the Marlin Gun Club this week, 52 shooters showed up.
Shooting perfect scores were Mark Iksic and Kaleb Pfeifer.
Only Rob Imbert shot 24.
Shooting 23 were Dan Asker, Doug Starkel and Ethan Kukes.
Bill James, Rich Swanson, Austin Nelson, Mark Brashear, Kevin Myre, Kaden Johnson, Noel Bowden, John Hagood and Jake Bennett all shot 22.
With 21 were Camden Echkhart, Lou Larsen, Ron Lesser, JD Bluhm, Charlene Kraus and Kevin Heer.
At the 20 and under were Daryl Kimble, Jim Imbert, Todd Druffel, Carmen Eckhart, Doug Brashear, Wayne Dainty, Chuck Ray, Juan Rocha, Brent Finkbeiner, Josh Gray, Taeven Brashear, Jessica Winston, Gage Starkel, Chad Jackson, Susan James, Brian Finkbeiner, Garrett Johnson, Jessie True, Shana Galloway, Brayden Finkbeiner, Miller Stout, Wiley Kimble, Landon Ribail, Shannon Kellam, Jade Stewart, Hagen Nelson, Chelan Kleyn, Kurt Kleyn, Ross Hendrick, Molly Hendrick and Chris Stout.
High Handicap shooter was Todd Druffel. High Doubles winner was Bill James and the Miss-n-Out award went to Austin Nelson.
Odessa Gun Club
At the Odessa Gun Club, Jared Praetorius and Nick Tebow scored a perfect 25.
Markus Smith shot 24. Ryan Lewis,l Jon Fink and Doug Tebow shot 23.
Hitting 22 targets were Garrett Braun and Cody Stanford.
Justin Hunt, Bill Weber, Jared King and Tucker Walter shot 21.
Shooting 20 and under were Lane Lobe, Colley Walter, Trevor Smith, Cade Weber, Marcus King, Daeton Deife, Paige Alloway and Shelby Smith.
High Handicap shooters in a three-way tie were Justin Hunt, Markus Smith and Garrett Braun. Jon Fink won the High Doubles contest. The High Continental contest also resulted in a three-way tie won by Ryan Lewis, Justin Hunt and Jared King. The Miss-n-Out contest was won by Brandon Larmer, and the Annie Oakley and Bushwacker awards went to Jon Fink.
