Dr. Raaj Ruparel
ODESSA - A surgeon at Lincoln Hospital will begin offering services at Odessa Clinic on may 26.
Last fall, Dr. Raaj Ruparel moved from Rochester, Minn., to Davenport, where he leads general surgery services and performs lumpectomies, appendectomies, port placements, mastectomies, hernia repairs, colonoscopies, endoscopies and more.
He previously finished his residency at Mayo Clinic as chief general surgery resident. He also completed a general surgery internship and a surgical simulation fellowship at the clinic.
"I'm looking forward to having the time to connect with patients and provide more personalized care....if we slow things down a little bit, sometimes we're able to do things a little better," he said.
Ruparel will meet with Odessa Clinic patients monthly.
He will also peform colonoscopies and endoscopies at Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center.
Outside of work, Ruparel enjoys fishing, climbing and flying - he's a licensed pilot.
