Freedom Flotilla planned on Lake Roosevelt

Event backed by Trump, Culp supporters

A “Freedom Flotilla” event has been planned for Labor Day weekend on Lake Roosevelt, with supporters of President Trump and Washington Gubernatorial candidate Loren Culp backing the event.

The event is set for Sunday, September 6th at 2pm at the confluence of the Spokane River with the boats heading South towards Lincoln.

Event organizer Stacey Quimby said the event is to “show support for our beloved country, our freedoms and great President Donald J Trump, Loren Culp for Governor, and all our heroes in law enforcement.”

Quimby said she had been waiting for a flotilla event on Lake Roosevelt all summer “without luck.”

“So I decided to just do it. You know, if you build it they will come,” Quimby said.

Quimby chose to promote the event on Facebook.

“We are new on the lake this season with a new boat after four seasons away, so we don’t have many contacts on the lake to get word out,” Quimby said. “So I made a Facebook event to help spread the word and recruit a few friends to co-host because they have many friends on Roosevelt. “

Quimby said she is looking forward to the Labor Day weekend event.

“We’ve been flying our flags on the weekends and so many horn honks and waves of support so I knew if I built an event and could get word out we would have a good turn out,” she said. “I am super excited for Sunday to see how many show up.”
