Airway Heights woman faces possible charges

AIRWAY HEIGHTS — A local woman is facing possible charges following a Nov. 25 crash that injured a Davenport woman.

Lindsay G. Spotted Eagle, 43, is facing possible charges of driving while under the influence and felony hit-and-run, according to the Washington State Patrol.

As of press time, Spotted Eagle remained in the Spokane County Jail.

Brianna M. Olesen, 26, of Davenport, was injured in the 6:51 p.m. crash Nov. 25 and transported to a regional medical center in Spokane.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Spotted Eagle was northbound on Craig Road in her 2010 Subaru Forester.

Spotted Eagle made a right turn onto eastbound U.S. Highway 2, the patrol said. At the time, Lau A. Olesen, 25, of Davenport, was westbound in the passing lane of the highway.

Spotted Eagle attempted to turn across the double turn lane and struck Lau Olesen’s 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe in the front end, the patrol said.

Lau Olesen's passenger Brianna M. Olesen and Spotted Eagle were injured in the crash and transported to a regional medical center in Spokane.

Neither Lau A. Olesen nor his 13-month-old female passenger were injured, the patrol reported.

Lau Olesen, Brianna Olesen and the toddler were all wearing seatbelts, the patrol reported.

The patrol did not say if Spotted Eagle was wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators listed the cause of the crash as driving under the influence

Both vehicles were towed from the scene to the patrol’s “bullpen.”
