Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
SPOKANE – The Spokane Ag Show is ready to launch their virtual show February 23-25 via its website, agshow.org. The show is where industry professionals go to meet, learn and grow. It is one of the largest farm shows in North America and while it is virtual this year, it will continue to host industry exhibitors and conduct over 45 professional seminars relating to agribusiness from large-scale operations and small acreage farms and ranches.
The show will be free to attend and along with access to exhibitors, some of the content will be accessible throughout the year. Exhibitors have customizable pages to upload content, post videos and host private events. There will be a searchable directory of exhibitors that will remain accessible for a year. Seminars include topics relating to cattle, marketing crops and livestock, tax and estate planning, in addition to several pesticide recertification courses. For a complete times-and-topic schedule of seminars, visit http://www.agshow.org.
Complete sessions will begin to be published Tuesday morning of the show. It will again host Dr. Art Douglas, retired Professor Emeritus, Atmospheric Science Department, Creighton University, presenting his Forecast for Weather Conditions, and Washington State University Economics Professor, Dr. Randy Fortenbery, will do his annual agriculture economic forecast. During the show, the winner of the coveted AgriBusiness Council’s ‘Excellence in Agriculture Awards' will be announced. Each year, winners are chosen from nominations received by the Ag Show Board of Greater Spokane Inc.
The Spokane Ag Show may never be the same again, even when social distancing restrictions are finally lifted. While a virtual format will never replace an in-person trade show, it does have its merits. This year’s show will reach a wider audience and attendees have the ability connect with exhibitors anytime and listen to the prerecorded seminars at any time during the day they are posted.
