Davenport Elementary holds "Kindness Week"

DAVENPORT – Davenport Elementary held a Kindness Week February 8-11!

Each day of the week there was a kindness theme: You Matter Monday, Thankful Tuesday, There for you Wednesday, and Gorillas are Crazy for Kindness Thursday!

Thursday included a red & white/gorilla gear dress up day. It was great to see everyone's school spirit!

Throughout the week students had the opportunity to participate in our own version of "The Great Kindness Challenge," where students tracked completing kindness actions on a task card that tied to each day's kindness theme. Students who completed all kindness actions were recognized and are pictured. Each day of our Kindness Week, all our students did an outstanding job displaying the character trait kindness! We hope that through our Kindness Week & The Great Kindness Challenge students pay it forward, spreading kindness not only to our school but to the Davenport community!
