The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

February 21

Traffic stops: 13

A caller said his wife was high on marijuana, left home in a 2019 black Ram pickup and was driving around on Morgan Street. He asked if it was illegal for her to be driving in those conditions.

A Spokane woman requested a welfare check on her father, who she said hadn’t been heard from in a week.

A Spokane woman said she picked up her children from their father’s residence in Almira and said her daughter told her that the father picked her up by the neck and pushed her into a chair after falling.

February 22

Traffic stops: 9

A caller reported a red Ford Taurus on fire.

A Davenport man said his daughter is gone and the previous owner is on the property when they weren’t supposed to be while she’s on vacation.

A Grand Coulee man said he has a child in common with a woman on the 100 block of Southwest Lincoln Street in Wilbur and said the woman texted him saying the cops came to her residence asking for him, but wouldn’t say why. The caller said the woman and her new husband don’t like him and were trying to get him in trouble.

Sprague City Hall said a man had been fishing at Fourth of July Lake the past few days and saw a red Subaru Impreza parked down by the lake near the public fishing parking area. The man said no one had been near the vehicle in a couple days.

A Spokane man reported an injured deer on the northside of Highway 28 about five miles west of Odessa.

A Wilbur woman said a silver Saturn drove up to their mailbox on the 25000 block of North Crick Road and started going through the mail. She saw it from the window in the house and went outside, at which point the vehicle left on Highway 21 toward Wilbur.

A caller said his father assaulted him.

ADT Tyco Alarms said they received a south front door alarm going off at the Harrington school on 1st Street.

February 23

Traffic stops: 7

Davenport Ambulance reported a two-vehicle minor injury blocking collision at the intersection of Nicholls and Marshall streets.

A Grand Coulee man said the wind blew his 1,500 gallon water tank down the hill from his residence near Highway 174 and said he tried to push it back up the hill, but couldn’t. He said the tank was now missing.

A Davenport man requested assistance unlocking his blue Kia in the handicapped parking spot at Safeway.

An Almira man said someone had trespassed on his property three days prior and was told not to come back. He said the same person had come back onto his property.

February 24

Traffic stops: 16

A caller said there were a few cows that didn’t belong to him out in his wheat field.

North Basin Medical Clinic in Wilbur reported a nauseous patient with pain in the left side of their head.

A driver for Wheatland Waste Systems, Inc. in Ritzville said there was a car following them around Sprague. They said the vehicle passed them and did a u-turn in front of the garbage truck on a city street.

February 25

Traffic stops: 11

A Davenport man reported a male and female moving out of their house on the 400 block of Maxwell Street.

An Almira woman reported that her son had run away from home and she hadn’t seen him in two days.

A caller reported someone burning brush in his residential area. He said the smoke was extremely dense and was causing breathing issues.

A Sprague man said a man was driving around town in a red Dodge Stratus possibly intoxicated. The caller said he had been parked in the middle of the road talking to someone, and the caller had to drive around him.

A Davenport woman said there are three dogs loose and chasing her horses and alpacas around again.

February 26

Traffic stops: 19

A caller from Alexandria, Minnesota said a door was wide open at a Lincoln County residence and no one was home.

A Davenport woman reported a vehicle speeding for the last 30 minutes and noted the vehicle was loud due to its rapid acceleration.

February 27

Traffic stops: 15

A Davenport man reported a lost black cow with no tag at Knack Road and Whitiker Lake Road.

A caller reported a white van at milepost 8 on Highway 25 with poor lane travel.

A caller said his mom hit him with a whiskey bottle.

Steven L. Klarstrom, 63, Davenport. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of fourth-degree domestic violence/assault.

Jason Ray Sijohn, 31, Usk. Arrested by Kalispel Tribal Police on charges of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

February 23

Dylan Michael Borden, 37, Lincoln. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of fourth-degree domestic violence/assault.

Criminal court-February 25

Steven Joseph Zacherle, Omak. Third-degree driving with a suspended license. Defendant deemed indigent. Ordered to 12 months supervised probation.

Noah Tristan Moos Smith, Kennewick. DUI and reckless driving. Sentence suspended for 24 years on conditions of serving one day in jail, 24 months probation and paying a $1,000 fine. Jail report date: March 26, 2021.

Glenn C. Downing, Moses Lake. Third-degree driving with a suspended license. Defendant deemed indigent. Ordered to 12 months supervised probation.

Maurice Donovan Socula, Elmer City. Second-degree operating a vehicle without a license. Sentence deferred for 12 months on conditions of serving two days in jail, 12 months supervised probation and paying a $1,000 fine. Must complete two days in jail by April 15, 2021.
