The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

February 28

Traffic stops: 9

A caller reported a vehicle with its flashers on just west of Riffe Road in Reardan.

A Davenport man reported a fire on the 3360 block of North Hawk Creek Ranch Road in Davenport.

A caller said she heard her dog whining, so she went to check on the dog and toward her alley there was a man messing with the dog’s leash like he was trying to take it off the dog. The caller said she yelled at the man to stop and he took off down the alley.

An Edwall woman requested officer assistance as she moved out of her residence on the 50000 block of East Magnuson Road.

A caller from Davenport Family Foods said on Friday the city used a street washer to clean out the alley and now all the water in the alley was backflowing into the meat department of the store.

A Davenport man reported two suspicious people on the 100 block of Park Street.

A Spokane caller said they hit a deer on the south side of the road in an undisclosed location.

An Odessa man said he passed a possible DUI driver westbound on Highway 2 by milepost 106.

A Warden man requested a welfare check on his girlfriend, who he said left two days ago to spend time with a friend in Odessa. He said she wasn’t answering his calls.

March 1

Traffic stops: 14

A caller reported a truck rolled over in the ditch through a fence on Dorschlog Road about ¼ mile outside Sprague. The caller said the driver appeared uninjured.

A Davenport man said he thinks someone climbed on the roof of the old restaurant on the corner of 6th and Logan streets and stole the coils and air conditioning systems.

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle and person in the area of the 12100 block of Williams Road in Davenport.

A caller reported a suspicious person at the BLM shooting range in Fishtrap.

A Davenport woman on the 900 block of 14th Street said her neighbor’s small dog was loose in the street and lunged at her when she was on a walk.

A Wilbur man requested deputy contact after he said his brother left threatening messages on his phone.

A Davenport woman said her blue 1994 Oldsmobile sedan blew a flat tire a few miles north of Harrington on Highway 28 and requested deputy assistance.

March 2

Traffic stops: 11

An Almira man said there was a train in Almira blocking all three crossings working on a rail bridge that may have broken and advised there could be traffic issues resulting.

A McKenna man reported an abandoned vehicle on the wrong side of the roadway in an undisclosed location.

A caller reported a white semitruck recklessly speeding and passing dangerously.

Lincoln County Road Department reported an abandoned vehicle on East Bowie and North Carstens roads about five miles northeast of Reardan.

An Odessa woman reported that a truck working on a roof in the area struck a power pole at the corner of East Amende Drive and 8th, downing power lines.

A Davenport woman reported a 10-year-old male running away from her home on the 800 block of 12th Street, noting he was barefoot running southbound on 13th Street.

A woman reported a burn in the new gravel pit just north of Highway 2 on Miles Creston Road in Davenport.

A Republic man reported a car about 2.5 miles west of the elevators in Almira driving slowly and spotlighting, probably for deer.

A Davenport man reported a car in the ditch on Highway 25 at Harker Canyon with multiple juveniles standing around the vehicle.

March 3

Traffic stops: 9

Lincoln County Public Works reported an abandoned vehicle in the shoulder near Haden and Wagner Lake Road in Wilbur.

A Davenport man said his fiancée’s daughter was getting unsolicited images, calls and texts from an unknown teenage boy.

A Davenport man said he was locked out of his vehicle at his friend’s house.

A man said the neighbor’s dog keeps coming into his yard at his residence in Harrington very aggressively.

A Davenport man reported two dead eagles on the side of Miles Road with their talons locked together that appeared to have hit a power line.

A Reardan woman reported a vehicle speeding over 90 miles per hour on Highway 2 from the Telford Rest Area.

A Davenport man reported a theft of the sheriff’s office game camera on the 35900 block of Mountain View Cemetery Road in Farmington.

A Davenport woman reported trespassing at her residence on 32500 East Johns Rocky Way.

March 4

Traffic stops: 7

A Davenport man arrived in the sheriff’s office lobby visibly upset and requested to speak to a deputy regarding domestic issues occurring between his son and himself.

A SeaTac man said he locked his keys in his truck and requested contact.

March 5

An Odessa woman said her husband woke her up saying he wouldn’t leave her alone that morning and punched and broke a window in their residence on the 100 block of West 6th Avenue.

A caller reported a car parked his private property at 3rd and Park streets in Davenport.

An Edwall man reported harassment.

A Davenport woman reported a big plume of smoke around 4th and Main Streets.

A caller requested deputy assistance regarding a child custody exchange supposed to occur in the Safeway parking lot in Davenport.

March 6

Traffic stops: 9

A caller said he was staying in a hotel that was trying to kick him out even though he had paperwork.

A Davenport man said his wife returned to his residence on the 300 block of Marshall Street and he didn’t want to let her in.

An Almira man requested contact regarding a possible kidnapping, saying his ex-wife wouldn’t bring his children over per court order.

A caller said she was fighting with her dad and he verbally threatened her. She said she wasn’t assaulted, and alcohol wasn’t involved.

An Edwall woman requested a welfare check on her son who was staying with his father, saying she wasn’t being allowed to have contact with her son, as the father told her he was moving.

A car vs. deer collision was reported 3.5 miles west of Reardan on Highway 2.

Rebekah Nicole Southard, 26, Odessa. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of first-degree animal cruelty.

March 4

Mark John Foy, 34, Clayton. Arrested by the Reardan Police Department on a charge of failure to comply.

March 6

Melvin Thomas Anderson, 50, Davenport. Arrested by Washington State Patrol on a charge of driving under the influence.

Joseph Cary Ellis, hometown not listed. Speeding five mph over limit, operating vehicle without insurance and possession of marijuana in motor vehicle. $243 fine.

Joe Ernest Louis, Omak. Driving five mph over limit. $108 fine.

Harjas Singh Dhami, Fruitdale. Speeding 15 mph over the limit and violating a posted road restriction. Found not committed.

Michal James Kresser, Davenport. Operating a vehicle without insurance. Ordered to pay a $25 administrative fee.

Katherine Gail Andersen v. Jason Dewayne Tilson. Regarding parenting plan. Show cause/contempt. Immediate restraining order protecting Andersen and her son issued.

Karen Ramirez Arias v. Josue Izuael Alcala. Regarding dissolution of marriage. Adequate cause. Modification hearing scheduled for April 3.

Alexandra and Justin Crider v. Kathleen and Raymond Strozyk. Regarding a motor vehicle. Pretrial/omnibus. Continued to July 20 for a four-day trial.

Erik Cordell Angel Brown. Residential burglary and third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer. Readiness hearing set for March 16.

Rebekah Southard. Three counts of 1st degree animal cruelty. Entered not guilty plea. Readiness hearing set for May 4 and jury trial set for May 26.

Clinton Paul Burrill. Second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm with a previous conviction. Entered a not-guilty plea. Readiness hearing set for March 30 and jury trial set for April 21.

Michael Lorentz Jackson. Second-degree theft. Entered not-guilty plea. Readiness hearing set for May 4 and jury trial set for May 26.

Clarification/correction from last week: Last week, we incorrectly reported that Jackson entered a guilty plea due to a typo. He originally entered a not-guilty plea, but updated court documents show that his income was deemed too high for a court-appointed attorney, so he asked for a continuance to March 2, when the above events occurred.
