DAVENPORT – Easter weekend is approaching, with Easter Sunday celebrated April 4. Several community organizations and churches have Davenport, Reardan and Harrington locals covered with services and Easter egg hunts Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here is a rundown of many of the local services and hunts occurring this weekend.
Davenport Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Lions Club Easter egg hunt is a go this year and is on Saturday, April 3 at 9 a.m. at City Park. Masks will be required. Children aged from birth to fifth grade may participate.
Harvest Celebration of the Assemblies of God
The church is re-launching children's church Easter, with a hunt included, along with regular service at 10:30 a.m. April 4.
Roman Catholic Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
A Good Friday service is at 6 p.m. April 2 in Davenport. A Saturday Easter vigil will take place at 7 p.m. April 3, also in Davenport. Sunday services are at 7 a.m. in Harrington, 8:30 a.m. in Davenport, 8:30 a.m. in Ford, 10:30 a.m. in Wellpinit and 10:30 a.m. in West End.
Stedfast Baptist Church
Easter service will be at the normal 10:30 a.m. service time.
Trinity Bible Fellowship
A Good Friday service will occur April 2 at 7 p.m. A Easter Sunday sunrise service is April 4 at 7 a.m. at City Park and regular Easter service is at 10:30 a.m.
Lake Roosevelt Bible Church
A Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. on April 2 and an Easter service will be at 10 a.m. on April 4. No Easter egg hunt this year.
Zion Lutheran
A Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. on April 2 and an Easter service will be at 11 a.m. on April 4. No Easter egg hunt this year.
Reardan Presbyterian Church
A Good Friday service will be at 7 p.m. on April 2 and an Easter service will be at 10 a.m. on April 4. Additionally, a sunrise service sponsored by all four Reardan churches will be at 7 a.m. at the cemetery April 4.
Harrington Nazarene Church
A sunrise service will stream live on Facebook at sunrise, sometime between 6-6:30 a.m. April 4. That day, there will be a get-together at 9 a.m. and a service at 10:45 a.m. No Easter egg hunt this year.
Harrington Methodist Church
A Easter Sunday service will occur at 9 a.m. April 4 with an Easter egg hunt to follow.
