DAVENPORT – Several games, matches, meets and practices were cancelled here and in Reardan this week after COVID-19 outbreaks within both districts.
Two of Davenport’s eight positive student tests were within the cross country and soccer teams. Cross country’s two qualifiers for the District 7 title meet at Asotin won’t be able to race.
Football seeding games, including Reardan at Colfax and Davenport vs. Lind-Ritzville/Sprague, were off. A junior high football game in Davenport was also cancelled.
A volleyball match between Davenport and Reardan scheduled for March 29 was cancelled.
All “fall sports,” or “Season 1 sports,” are now finished in both school districts.
Spring sports practices were scheduled to begin March 29, but were also postponed. Both districts won’t hold practices next week during spring break.
