Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.
This week’s report includes the two dates missing from last week’s report.
March 26
Traffic stops: 26
Colville Tribal Police called saying one of their officers was following a semitruck with a tarp covering its trailer having lane travel issues.
The owner of Doxie’s Diner in Wilbur said a man walked in the backdoor of the restaurant looking like he’d fallen down with his hand bleeding.
A Davenport woman said a large St. Bernard came onto her breezeway and startled her.
Davenport City Hall reported a large burn pile at 5th and Washington Streets. Open burn in Davenport is not until April 22.
A Newman Lake man reported a possible DUI situation involving a white Dodge pickup with an aluminum toolbox in the back traveling westbound on Highway 2 entering Davenport.
A man reported that his electric wheelchair was stuck in a vacant lot at 11th and Logan Streets in Davenport.
A woman said her drunk husband walked out of the house upset about five hours prior and hadn’t returned yet.
March 27

Fort Spokane Store and Restaurant reported a medical situation at the Fort Spokane campground.
A Davenport man on the 36400 block of Western Pines Drive reported various people two lots away on state land shooting in his direction and refusing to stop when he confronted them.
Odessa Memorial Hospital requested deputy assistance for a man who was locked out of his pickup truck in the hospital parking lot.
A Wilbur woman reported a yard waste fire in her front yard that was getting out of control and heading toward her house on the 600 block of Southwest Bruce Avenue.
A Davenport man reported a suspicious person on the 1400 block of Adams Street.
A suspicious person was reported at the intersection of Eighth and Monroe Streets in Davenport.
March 28
Traffic stops: 19
A deputy helped a city crew move debris off the roadway from the wind.
A Davenport woman reported suspicious circumstances on the 900 block of Merriam Street.
March 29
Traffic stops: 21
A woman called 911 to report she locked her keys in her running vehicle.
A semitruck reportedly slid into an embankment. The driver was out of the vehicle.
A Sprague man reported a large fridge with the doors still intact that had been sitting outside the backside of the City Chamber of Commerce building for about a week. The caller said he thought it was a safety hazard for children or anyone walking by to potentially lock themselves inside the fridge.
A car collision was reported from an automated 911 call saying a Ford crashed off a tower near the intersection of Sterling Valley and Redwine Canyon Roads in Lincoln.
A Reardan man reported a traffic offense.
March 30
Traffic stops: 16
A caller reported a woman sleeping in her car at the gas station in Reardan.
A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported to Lincoln Hospital for a COVID-19 test.
An employee of Davenport Post Office called about a man in a wheelchair at the post office confused about his location. The caller said this man thought he was out of the country.
A Lincoln caller said a Middle Eastern man wearing glasses and a Seahawks hat was driving a black Chevy Traverse that pulled up to the caller and tried to offer him gold chains and jewelry, claiming he didn’t have any money, was from out of the country and wanted to make a trade.
A Davenport woman on the 800 block of Maxwell Street said she lent her car to her son’s ex-girlfriend about two weeks ago before the ex-girlfriend said she didn’t want to return the vehicle and was planning on keeping it.
A Grand Coulee man reported an unsecured load in a white wheat truck with loading construction materials and insulation blowing off into the wheat field eastbound on Highway 2 from Creston.
A caller said her husband took their two-year-old son and left in a red Dodge Dakota without the child in a carseat.
March 31
Traffic stops: 0
A vehicle stuck in a ditch was reported.
A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported to Eastern State Hospital for commitment.
A Davenport man reported a traffic violation on the 1200 block of Park Street.
A Davenport woman reported suspicious circumstances on the 28500 block of Mondovi Road.
A Wilbur man reported two juveniles recklessly driving a four-wheeler back and forth at the Wilbur school.
A caller said he received a call from a man who said he was his father and asked if he wanted to exchange oral sex.
A Davenport woman reported a suspicious white Dodge cargo van parked at the Corner Café in Creston occupied by a single, white older male dressed in dark colored work clothes.
Assault was reported.
April 1
Traffic stops: 17
A Wilbur man reported a traffic collision before hanging up the phone.
A caller with Child Protective Services requested deputy response to a welfare check on the 46000 block of Spring Canyon Campground Road in Grand Coulee.
A 52-year-old male reported severe back and hip pain.
A Davenport woman requested a welfare check on her neighbor on the 500 block of Ross Street, saying her neighbor has high blood pressure and has been disoriented lately.
April 2
Traffic stops: 10
A Davenport man reported that multiple tires were slashed on multiple vehicles overnight on the 500 block of Washington Street.
A Davenport woman reported a dog attack on the 1000 block of Merriam Street.
A Davenport man called from Wilbur-Creston schools saying an eighth-grader decided to walk to Grand Coulee from Wilbur after school.
A Davenport woman said her neighbor’s buckskin horse was out on her pasture for the second time in a week.
A Davenport woman reported an ambulance for a man possibly suffering a heart attack on the 41300 block of Pierce Drive.
A Davenport man requested assistance after he locked his keys in his gold Ford Taurus in the Safeway parking lot.
A caller from Davenport Family Foods requested a welfare check on a Harrington woman who hadn’t been to the store in a couple months and was living with a woman who has trespassed at the store.
A caller reported an attempted burglary at his shop on the 25400 block of Roosevelt View.
April 3

An Almira woman reported a blue muscle car driving “real fast” from Govan Road.
A Davenport man on the 39600 block of Bluestem Road said his mailbox was damaged again.
A residential burglary alarm reportedly went off on the 27400 block of North Ridge Road in Davenport.
A Harrington man requested a deputy conduct a hulk slip at Harrington Truck and Auto.
A welfare check was requested an on elderly man in a power chair on Highway 2 eastbound from Davenport.
A brown cow was reportedly walking down Highway 23 near milepost 45.
A caller reported she was hacked.
A caller reported a vehicle spotlighting in his field at an undisclosed location.
