DAVENPORT--Valene Jean Wynecoop, an inmate at Lincoln County Jail was found dead yesterday just after 3 p.m. during a routine cell check, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office informed The Times this morning.
The sheriff's department believes Wynecoop, 35, committed suicide. The cause of death remains under investigation. Wynecoop's family has been notified.
Wynecoop, a Wellpinit native was in jail on charges of third-degree theft. She was arrested by Kalispel Tribal Police and booked April 10.
