POMEROY – At the April 17 track and field meet held in Pomeroy, Odessa sophomore Ashlyn Neilsen set a new Odessa High School record in the high jump by clearing 5 feet, 3 inches. She displaced former Tigers Kaci Wilson and Brandi Deife who had held the record at 5'2" since 2003 and 1988, respectively. Pilot Weishaar also had a successful day by clearing 12 feet in the pole vault, a personal record, thus joining John DeWulf and TJ Roller in fourth place in the all-time Tiger standings in that event. Freshman Hayden Schuh moved into the number two spot in both girls' hurdle events.
