Reardan baseball shut down at NWC

COLBERT – The Indians failed to bounce back from last week’s sweep at the hands of Colfax, dropping two more against the Northwest Christian (Colbert) Crusaders April 27 by scores of 15-3 and 13-7. Reardan fell to 1-4 with the pair of defeats.

Reardan managed just three hits in the opener, two of which were from senior Aiden Kieffer. Abe Nelson contributed the Indians’ other hit. Malachi Kaiser hit a home run and a double for NWC.

The Indians managed more success with the bat in the second game with seven runs on six hits. Caden Day was the lone Reardan player with multiple hits (two), while Kieffer, Kobe Martinez, Abe Nelson and Tate Nelson added hits for the Indians.

Reardan has lost five straight after winning its season opener at Lind-Ritzville/Sprague last week. It’ll look to right the ship Saturday, May 1 at home vs. Chewelah.
