Odessa defeats Curlew

Odessa defeated Curlew at home last Saturday, May 1.

Nathan Carstensen had three hits and picked up two RBIs. Tim DeWulf had two hits (one of them a double) and two RBIs. Collin Martin also hit a double. Jett Nelson hit a triple. Most Tiger batters were being choosy about swinging their bats, with eight players accounting for 12 of the bases on balls awarded by Curlew pitching.

Nelson led the team in putouts with 10.

DeWulf pitched all five innings, giving up three hits and two runs. He walked three and struck out 10, while facing 20 batters and throwing 94 pitches.
