Head coach Travis Schuh is optimistic about the team’s outlook for the future. Only two team members, Pilot Weishaar and David Hayashi, are graduating this year. “Hayden Schuh, Ashlyn Neilsen and Anthony Elder will be a huge part of the team the next couple of years. Hopefully, we will get some athletes back that went over to golf this year. But we do have upcoming junior-high kids that have done really well, especially the girls, 15 who have been outstanding and will help contribute here in the next few years if they stick with it,” said Schuh.
Schuh also said he expects to have a full team participating Friday, May 7, in Ritzville. It will be a joint District 7 and 9 meet, with medals for the top eight finishers in each event.
