SPOKANE-The Davenport and Harrington golf teams headed to Kalispel Country Club to wrap up the spring season at the Spokane area high school golf championships Thursday, May 13. The Davenport boys finished 10th of 12 teams that finished, while the Harrington boys and girls didn't finish.
Kristof Panke, Davenport's top golfer all year and the NE2B player of the year, finished tied for 13th. He shot an 80, which was good for eight over par. Mead's Ty Anderson and Gonzaga Prep's Tommy Kimmel won the boys flight with a 70 at two under par.
Patrick McCarthy of St. George's was the top 2B finisher with a 76 at four over par. Other local boys competitors include Robert Bitcon of Davenport (tied for 42nd with a 92 at 20 over par), Mattox Schumacher of Davenport (tied for 45th with a 94 at 22 over par), Eric Mooney of Harrington (tied for 67th with a 103 at 31 over par), Cody Larmer of Harrington (tied for 67th with a 103 at 31 over par) and Keaton Hupp of Davenport (tied for 79th with a 111 at 39 over par).
Bitcon joined Panke on the all-league team this year.
Taleaha Quesada of Harrington was the lone local girls competitor. She finished in 61st place with a 136 at 63 over par. The girls competition was won by Mead's Taylor Mularski, who shot a 73 for par.
