DAVENPORT--The Broncos trailed 11-4 early, but after that, it was all Davenport. The Gorilla boys pulled away from Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 59-45 in Monday's NE2B District quarterfinal and will take on top seeded Liberty in the semifinal Wednesday.
Tennesee Rainwater led Davenport with 18 points, while Brenick Soliday added 11 points and Jaeger Jacobsen contributed 10 points off the bench.
LRS was led by Chase Galbreath, who scored 11 points.
Davenport outscored LRS 32-24 in the second half and 21-12 in the third quarter to pull away.
The No. 4 seed Gorillas will now have a challenge against the Liberty Lancers, who destroyed Kettle Falls in an NE2B quarterfinal 77-35 Monday.
The Davenport girls, meanwhile, start their playoff run as the No. 3 seed against the rival Reardan Indians, the No. 6 seed, Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.
