Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!

Two receive P.E.O. scholarships

DAVENPORT – Philanthropic Educational Organization Chapter N recently announced their 2021 scholarship recipients, Eleanor Telford and Amber Hamilton.

Each of these graduating high school seniors from Lincoln County will receive a $500 scholarship while attending their chosen institution of higher education.

The goal of these scholarships is to recognize young women graduating from Davenport and Reardan high schools who have a desire to seek growth in knowledge through education, a willingness to contribute to their community and an aspiration for personal development.

Telford is the daughter of Brian and Theresa Telford of Davenport and will be attending Montana State University to pursue a degree in business-accounting.

Hamilton is the daughter of Wade and Barbara Hamilton of Reardan and will be attending Carrington College in Spokane to begin a path to become a veterinary assistant.

Chapter N has 40 members and was organized in 1907 as a P.E.O. encouraging women to reach for the stars through education. The Davenport-Reardan chapter has been awarding two local scholarships for 30 years and have sponsored numerous state and international scholarships and educational loans for over 100 years.
